The Technology Association of Georgia Foundation is securing sponsorships for WebChallenge 2008 (www.webchallenge.org), a state-wide community outreach program for high school students interested in furthering their education in technology.
With the help of Georgia's high-tech business community, students have the opportunity to learn about the latest technologies by gaining hands-on Web design and development experience while competing for college scholarships. In the past 5 years, WebChallenge has awarded over $100,000 in scholarships to students from across the state of Georgia. SAP, HP, Microsoft, and BellSouth were among the sponsors of WebChallenge 2005, which enabled 63 high school teams from 37 schools and 19 counties to learn web programming, graphic design, and web marketing.
WebChallenge is an excellent opportunity for foundations, individuals and corporations to gain exposure helping the teenagers of today grow and expand their capabilities to be the leaders of tomorrow. It has grown from an outreach program in the metro Atlanta area to a statewide program that is one of the largest high school web design contests in the country.
In order for WebChallenge to be a continued success, we need your help. We ask that you consider becoming a sponsor for WebChallenge 2008. Sponsors provide funds for educational scholarships, prizes for participants, and in-kind donations of goods or services.
Sponsorship opportunities are described in detail below. Contact Wayt King at contact@webchallenge.org if you are interested in becoming a sponsor or if you have questions.
