Here are the scholarship award criteria and rules for WebChallenge 2008:

Rules


  • Teams may consist of 2 to 4 team members
  • Each team must represent a school or approved school organization
  • Each team must be represented by a Faculty advisors
  • Each team must have a name
  • Faculty advisors may represent multiple teams from the same school
  • Each team must register (1) by email (2) via Facebook registration details are here
  • Facebook application entries must not have been disabled by Facebook as of April 30 or as of May 16
  • None of the team's members' Facebook accounts may have been disabled as of April 30 or as of May 16

Scholarship Awards


Best Concept (subjective evaluation by the judges)
  • 1st place $2000
  • 2nd place $1000

Best Implementation (subjective evaluation by the judges)
  • 1st place $2000
  • 2nd place $1000

Most Viral (an objective measure of the # of “daily active users,” per Facebook’s statistics as of May 16 at the Awards Event)
  • 1st place: $6000 (Overall winner)
  • 2nd place: $3000
